Everyone needs a little reassurance when sharing private information with external parties in a virtual data room. This is why in our latest update we released a new feature that allows Administrators to view their workspaces as users they have invited onto the platform. Such a robust feature allows for you to be 100% confident that the permissions you put in place allow a user to View, Download and Upload files in folders you have explicitly allowed access to. Alongside the assurance provided for security, this feature will also allow Admins to reference that the appropriate files have been readily made available to a user at the click of a button.

Once a user has accepted an invitation to a CapLinked workspace, you will notice a blue eye module has been enabled next to their name within the Permissions section. By selecting this icon, you will enter the Files section of the selected user. While logged in as a specific user, you have the ability to navigate through their Files page and experience the permission settings as put forth by the administrators of the workspace.

All folder functions will be disabled while in this mode such as uploading, deleting, moving files etc, as to not tamper with a workspace as another user. As such, no activity is tracked during this time as to not impact the data provided in the Activity Tracker. To revert back to your account, simply select the blue (Exit preview) in the drop down banner above. Please note that in order to preview as a non-admin, the user must have accepted an invite and be active within the workspace.
